Happy Halloween!

What can I say, I’m a total sucker for this Holiday! Ever since I was a child I loved the creativity of it, designing yourself into anything or anyone you want is appealing! Also, who doesn’t love an excuse to get with friends and not take yourself seriously! Have a safe and fun Halloween everyone, trick or treat!!!

Brunching in New York City

I was recently in my favorite city NYC (can’t get enough of the place) and if you have ever been you know how serious brunch is taken! A staple of an NY life, no question… I had the pleasure of brunching with Brunch Gang NYC. Check out my images featured on their blog and the review of Morandi italian eatery in NYC’s west village neighborhood! I can honestly say I can’t hardly wait to go back for more Morandi and Manhattan! http://brunchgang.com/2012/09/11/morandi/

Olympic Sculpture Park

One of my favorite things is capturing couples in love, this shoot was done this past Winter in Seattle (Okay, so I am a little behind in my posts…but I will be back in full effect soon folks lol)… anyways these two were too photogenic, I swear they couldn’t take a bad picture…simply gorgeous! Don’t you agree? ;)

Mother-to-Be, Seattle Pier

It was a perfect sunny day on the Seattle Pier in early July…here are some of my favorites from a mother-to-be photo shoot. I can’t wait to do more of these :)

Adventures in Cake Baking

Check out the 3 tier heart cake I made for Valentines Day/ just because… really it was just an excuse to make a fun cake! I made a white cake with raspberry filling and whip cream frosting, it was nothing less than delicious! However, since I don’t remember the last time I made a 3 tier cake with filling from scratch this didn’t come without challenges… I definitely learned a few tips and tricks along the way that I will use for my next cake baking adventure. Here is one of the most important tips I learned when making a layered cake:

Cool cakes upside down – once the cakes comes out of the oven, flip them upside down and cool them on the other side so that your cakes will be flat on both sides making it much easier to fill with frosting etc.

Cake anyone?

Mermaid Nails!

Happy Friday everyone! I am so excited it’s Friday and Sunny in the land of darkness SEATTLE ;) makes me feel inspired for Spring to get here! Right now since it is still Winter, I like to play with my nails and make them “summery” gives a sense of fun and color when everything is mostly still gray where I live. Right now I am really loving these “mermaid nails”… can’t wait to try it out this weekend as a fun project. I stole this idea from one of my favorite blogs cupcakesandcashmere.com: http://cupcakesandcashmere.com/mermaid-nails/
